My work has been turning up an several art and design blogsites recently which is always encouraging. Some notable examples are - White Space, FFFFound, Candycrash & Coward33&sneeze15 have even interviewed me!! The world's gone blogging mad!

Images 32 Book

I've had 3 illustrations selected for Images 32-The best of British contempory illustration 2008 published by the AOI - out now -  Along with the book is a month long exhibition at London College of Communication in Elephant & Castle. The show runs till 27th August.

Refacimento Exhibition

I was asked to submit a poster design to be part of an exhibition shown at the 3rd 'supertrash' film festival at the Bagdad Theatre, Portland. Being a film festival the brief was refacimento posters of 'trash' movies. See my design below...

The exhibition runs from 15th - 17th Aug and is sponsered by Fantagraphics books and a book featuring the posters is due to come out next year in conjuncton with a second exhibition at the Andy Warhol museum.

Cravendale Milk

Future Milk is a competition by Cravendale in association with The Young Creative Network (YCN). The brief was to come up with new packaging to appeal to a younger generation.

This is what I came up with. Fun yet still comprehendible.

Amelia's Magazine

Watch out for issue 09 of the fantastic Amelia's Magazine - out now -  featuring a double page spread by yours truly. The theme was 'a positive future' looking towards an idealistic greener view of a future with no pollution, minimal carbon emissions etc...

This issue was launched with a party at the Pure Grooves record shop in Clerkenwell. My illustration along with several others were on exhibit for the night and a few days after in the shop (I had pride of place in the window - unfortunately my camera died so I don't have a record of it!).

Orange

I've designed some images through YCN for orange's optimistic images project. Each image to demonstrate a word or phrase related to the company. It's planned the images will become part of an online library that will be utilised by orange and the many agencies with whom they work.

Talking of orange I found this amazing link to part of their website... It's very well designed as well as great fun... had me hooked for ages! Make sure you chat to the character called Buzz - you can actually have a conversation with him - it's crazy! I think it's designed by Poke London. Visit unlimited orange!

Stereohype

I entered some designs into the Stereohype badge design competition last month. Unfortunately I didn't win top prize but I did come runner up... and in a competition that sees over 500 entries from all over the world, that's not bad going!

Association of Illustrators

I've had some work recently selected for the next AOI images book out in August. They have also used one of my illustrations to advertise an event - "Viral Fruits -Is the internet ripe for the picking?" in their newsletter and on their website.

Power by Numbers

I've got some more prints in the 'Power by Numbers' group show at Gallery Nucleus LA.

The show runs from April 12th to 28th and is a benefit show for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles so it's for a good cause. Quite a nice show as all the artworks are the same size - postcard size.

Bobbin Exhibition

The guys at Bobbin have a temporary instillation of their bikes and my characters ( blown up huge ) at 79 Upper street, Islington.

Brahma

Here's some illustrations I've entered into the Brahma competition as part of their 

Trocabrahma promotion, The brief was to come up with an image that evokes "latin spirit" let's see how I get on... 

Characters for Bobbin Bicycles

I've done some work with Bobbin bicycles, a company specialising in very cool dutch bikes.

I created a bunch of characters to help promote the company. Each one representing a different bicycle model.

The illustrations will feature on their website and promotional material as well as temporary exhibits at venues throughout London.

Wanted

Some work I submitted to the Dazed Digital website is to be shown in a group exhibition in Stockholm & Milan.

The brief was 'wanted' and is part of an illustration & photography collaboration - 'Outsiders Wanted' between Wrangler Jeans and Dazed & Confused Magazine.
